Witnessing of Agreements
Having an agreement witnessed by a Notary Public will help prove the validity of the agreement should it ever come into question.
Prior to you signing the agreement, the Notary Public will:
  1. verify your identity by examining a valid piece of photo identification;
  2. confirm that you wish to sign the agreement;
  3. witness you sign the agreement; and
  4. certify that the agreement has been signed by a Notary Public.
Preparing for your Appointment
Please prepare and bring the following to your appointment:
  • the agreement that you wish to have witnessed (please do not sign the agreement); and
  • a valid piece of photo identification.
